What is PromoStandards?

PromoStandards  is an industry-wide initiative that defines open SOAP/XML data standards for the promotional products supply chain. Distributors, suppliers, and service providers use the same specs for product data, inventory, pricing, purchase orders, order status, invoices, and media content, so a single integration speaks to dozens of suppliers instead of one bespoke connector per partner.

Why PSRESTful?

PSRESTful  started as a SOAP-to-REST proxy. Today it is a complete platform for the PromoStandards catalog (Product Data, Inventory, Pricing & Configuration, Media Content, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Order Status, and OSN), delivering one consistent JSON API across every connected supplier, with optional Protobuf, automatic Brotli/gzip compression, official Python / JavaScript / C# / PHP SDKs, and a managed backend that handles caching, retries, and per-supplier quirks for you.

On top of the spec, PSRESTful adds the pieces PromoStandards leaves out: normalized cross-supplier search, image-to-color-variant mapping that actually matches your storefront, a hosted pricing calculator, a data explorer, and ready-made integrations for Shopify, Saleor, and VTEX.

One PSRESTful key and one base URL get you product data, base pricing, inventory, and media for hundreds of suppliers out of the box. For anything tied to your commercial relationship with a supplier (your negotiated customer pricing, your purchase orders, order status, OSN, and invoices), you plug in your own supplier credentials and PSRESTful brokers the calls on your behalf.
